Avast Online Security Extension

In Windows 7 Firefox has disabled my Avast Online Security Extension with no option to Enable. How can I re-enable the extension?

Since posting I have found a solution - Go to ‘Programs and Features’ - click Avast and ‘Change’ - then untick ‘Browser protection’. This uninstalls the Extension. Then reverse the procedure - tick the Browser Protection. This effectively reinstalls the Firefox extension which can now be enabled / disabled. Similarly with any other Extensions that Firefox has disabled with no Enable option - uninstalling and re-installing should solve the problem.

You could have selected Repair that also would have fixed the problem and might have been a bit less cumbersome.
(No problem here with Firefox , AOS and Windows 10. )
