Avast Online Security not "verified" for Firefox

Any idea when the Avast will get their “Avast online security” add-on for the Firefox (FF) browser “signed” by FF? As of FF version 40 all add-ons need to be “verified” (signed) see Add-on signing in Firefox.

The following are the current and future changes for FF regarding this requirement for add-ons:

As of the current Firefox 40, add-ons that have not been signed by Mozilla will generate a warning. You should still be able to confirm that you are willing to continue using the unsigned add-ons.

As of Firefox 41 you will not get a warning and unsigned add-ons will be blocked. There will be a (hidden) preference that you can set to override for the time being.

As of Firefox 42, unsigned add-ons cannot be used in the standard release (and beta) builds of Firefox. Full stop.

Yes and it’s not just Avast, as I have add-ons from others such as ‘HP SimplePass’, ‘Skype’ and others that need signing.

Sorry Asyn, I didn’t notice this since it was a five day old link that got buried. Since FF40 just got released about the day I posted I didn’t think there would be anything on this anyway but then I didn’t account for users with beta versions.

Thanks for the heads up regarding this link.

You’re welcome.
