Avast! or Cheetah Mobile (CM)

I am currently using the Premium Avast Mobile Security and the complete Avast! lineup.

My question is…is it much better if it all better than the CM lineup? CleanMaster, CM Security, Battery Dr., etc?

I realize this is an Avast! forum…but I am looking for some reasons why I should continue to use this over the other.

Hi,

I don’t think it would be appropriate for an Avast employee to actually answer this since they can be easily accused of being subjective. Other users of the products should tell you better. At least that’s my opinion on the matter.

I agree with Filip. Actually, I can provide you my opinion, but as a Product Manager I cannot be unbiased… But I will try it say at least some facts without marketing bullshits:

  • You are in touch with involved people. We are trying to answer your questions (also on Google Play) and we are listening to you also in our Beta group.
  • We don’t do snakeoils (fake features). Have you ever heard about CPU Cooler “feature”, and so on? It’s nonsense.
  • We don’t want to be intrusive as they are.
  • We have sophisticated Wi-Security feature. We are using a lot of tests to see, if there is any problem or if Wi-Fi is safe.
  • This Fall will be very interesting - we gonna release new apps. Please be patient and you will see more!

Doesn’t it change kernel settings or reduce the speed of the processors to cool the device?
Doesn’t it reduce the charging speed and so cool the device?
