I have used avast for a while, love it, but one thing is causing me problems. When I create a pdf and I pull down the menu under document which reads: “attach to email”. Avast attaches it to an email in outlook. I don’t use outlook for emails, I use outlook express. I don’t know how to change this so that the email is attached to an email in outlook express.
I believe Avast is causing this because after I click on “attach to email” avast flashes on the screen before the email opens.
I don’t think Avast! has anything to do with your problem. It just scans the file you are trying to attach for malware. What OS are you using? It looks like your system thinks that Outlook is your default email program, instead of Outlook Express. If you have XP, http://www.freeemailtutorials.com/microsoftWindows/settingDefaultEmailClient.cwd tells you how to check and change it. If you really mean Windows Mail, Vista and W7 have a tab for “default programs”.
