Avast Outlook provider with Blackberry BES

Hi, we are hearing about an issue between the avast! Outlook provider and Blackberry BES where when the Outlook provider is running, no messages are being received by the Blackberry device. When the Outlook provider is disabled, the messages are delivered without any problems. I can see one other report of this issue in the forum from 2005.

We have other sites where this combination works fine. Does anyone know why this might occur and if there is a setting to be changed to resolve it?

You don’t say what version of Outlook you are using but I would check to see if the avast plug-in isn’t disabled within Outlook.

Make sure the avast plug-in/add-in is not disabled in MS Outlook:
Outlook 2007 > Tools > Trust center > Add-ins > Manage Disabled items.
Outlook 2003 > Help > About > Disabled items
Outlook 2000 > Tools menu > Options > Other > Advanced Options > Add-In Manager.
