Hi! Avast passwords no longer can be added to Firefox? When I use the built-in Browser Integration button in the Avast interface itself, it opens up a tab in Firefox that says “redirecting to Chrome store”.
I tried changing the “#chromium” to “#firefox”, but what I got was “Sorry, something went wrong. Please make sure you have the latest Avast Passwords desktop app installed and try again.” I’ve tried updating Avast, reinstalling Avast, etc. Nothing works.
I am getting this problem now, too. I’m using version 78.0.1 (64-bit) of Firefox, just updated my Avast to the most current engine. I had to clear my Firefox because it was having issues displaying Gmail. When I search the add-on/extensions store, there is nothing for Avast Passwords. I clicked on the button to enable it from the browser integration section of the passwords area. I get forwarded to the Chrome store.
Could you please try the following:
Take the URL opened in Firefox after adding the extension. Put it in a text editor and replace the “chromium” part at the end with “firefox”. Then copy and paste it back into Firefox address bar.
Hi,
Same problem here.
I can’t take the URL AFTER adding the extension because, when I press “add extention” in Avast browser extensions, i automatically get redirected to this site:
After installation Modzilla Firefox 79.0 (x64nl) at the 29/7 Avast Passwords doesn’t work anymore.
Automatic fill in, doesn’t ask new made paswords to add etc…
So if I understand it correctly, you have managed to add the extension in Firefox, however, it is now not working properly.
Could you please click on the Passwords icon in firefox and provide me with a screenshot thereof.
