Avast Passwords now Disabled on Firefox and do not work.

Avast Passords do not now work on Firefox.

Error message is “Avast Online Security could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled”. “Starting in Firefox version 57, only extensions built using WebExtensions APIs will work. Not sure if your add-ons are affected? See Firefox add-on technology is modernizing and these Frequently Asked Questions for details”. “Legacy Extensions: These extensions do not meet current Firefox standards and have been deactivated”.

Avast Passwords still work with Chrome.

Could we please have an immediate fix to get this paid program working again with Firefox please?

Hi, it’s a known FF bug, see: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1548973

Sorry, the bug message just confuses me further  … I would really like to go on using both Firefox and Avast Passwords, so if there is a chance to adapt the Passwords app to Firefox’ specifications, I’d be really thankful, too.

Hi, Mozilla fixed it, more here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=227020.0
