avast periodically freezes machine while bittorrent is running

avast is freezing my computer every so often for 1-3 seconds at a time, only while µTorrent is running. this is the fastest computer i’ve ever used (amd64 3700+), so it’s not like the computer can’t handle avast. any ideas on how i can fix this?

Maybe you can add the uTorrent application folder (not where you download new ones) to the Standard Shield Exclusion list.

Err, I think that must be the wrong link… I can’t see what “Topic: avast4.ini polls every 6 seconds” has to do with BT.
