Avast permanently 'blocked' my TP LINK router?

Ran a Quick Scan.

One of the problems Avast found was that my TP LINK router had a ‘weak password.’ Problem is, the router is not WiFi. So who cares about the password?

Anyhow, I skipped that step and continued.

Now I can no longer run internet through that router.

Please tell me how to fix this.

PS. what’s with the hard-to-read, barely visible letter verification nonsense? There are so many better ways to weed out bots.

avast detected a weak password on the router.
That doesn’t mean it is a WiFi password.
The router itself has (or at least should have) a password on it.
Next to that a router nowadays has a OS.
That can also have a weak password.

Since avast is not making changes to the router, I doubt it is avast that is causing it to malfunction.
Already did a hard reset on the router ?

I wouldn’t think so either, but it’s the only thing that happened, before the router became non-functional.

Yes, tried a hard reset twice, and tried several of the ports, on 2 different computers.

What OS/SP ?
What exact version of avast ?
Does disabling one of the shields makes a difference ?
Already tried a repair of avast ?
Already performed a clean installation of avast ?
Are you getting a error when trying to use that router ?
More information is needed to troubleshoot.
