Avast Plugin on Firefox

Guys, i’m having some problems with the Online Security plugin on firefox.
When I click the icon, it stays like this:

It doesn’t show anything.

Can someone help me?

What version of firefox are you using ?
This could be because there are some issues with a new firefox policy with add-ons needing to be signed.

Is the Avast Online Security add-on enabled in firefox ?

I’ve enabled the plugin on Firefox.
It’s version 40.0.3, on windows 10.

OK, Generally I don’t use the AOS browser add-on, so I have just installed it on my other win7 netbook system. I haven’t installed win10, so I can’t test it on that.

Is the AOS icon at the top of the page greyed out or a Green Circle with a stylised ‘a’ (more like this @ at sign) in the middle ?

Having enabled it, it should be a coloured not grey icon ?

For me clicking that opens up the information for that site. There is also a Settings option at the bottom of that information page, this opens a tab in firefox to allow you to change the AOS settings.

The above appears to be working for me.

It is coloured, but the problem is that when i click the icon, the AOS opens, buts there is no text, as you could see in the image.

Also, I was able to click the settings button, and it leads to a tab showing that the plugin is on chrome.

It looks like a pretty weird example I have no idea what the string is behind google.br, e.g no search appears to have been carried out.

I would have tried a search that would return hits, such as avast antivirus and see if that differed or test it against avast.com, etc. The reason I suggest that as the green section of the AOS with those counters would check against the avast cloud database. If it can’t figure out or resolve the url that you put in it couldn’t return any data to populate that drop down of the AOS. But I would have expected to see something, at least the ability to click the AOS Settings, which should be near the bottom of that dropdown section.

You could try an avast repair and see if that makes any different, though I’m not confident that would work as the AOS in effect is a bit isolated from avast, being a browser add-on.
