You could do a full un-installation using the Avast Tool avastclear.exe that you can download. Avast Removal Tool | Download Avast Clear | Avast

Then do a fresh clean installation of Avast.

Have you tried this yet?

Also. Have you tried turning “Hardened Mode”= OFF
As that may affect performance.
