I use an older version of Avast (Avast 4.8) and I am very happy with it. I had a newer version installed and I didn’t like it so I went back to my earlier version. I upgrade my databases daily and it works for me. However, about every 1/2 hour or so, I get a pop up telling me that my Avast needs to be upgraded and also that my free registration is running out. I know it is NOT expiring- I just re-registered a few weeks ago. How do I get rid of this pop-up? It is driving me crazy. Any assistance that can be provided would be gratefully received.
Well… the time of the 4.8 version life is ending… It was promised to be this year.
So, sooner or later, you’ll have to upgrade. Version 7 is far ahead in protection compared to 4.8.
