Here’s a list of Antivirus websites and how many people visit them per day in hits (Percent of total internet users whome visit the website)

I was surprised to see how popular Avast really is. Over 0.1% of all internet users visit Avast website.

There are 1.1 billion internet users (1 for every 7 people in the world) and over 1 million users visit Avasts website. Just shows its growing popularity.

Well, these results are probably from Alexa toolbar. I am almost sure, that not all of internet users uses it, some antispyware/antiadware are removing Alexa toolbar as malware…

However nice graphs

nice graphs. y all the wierd spikes all over the place?
norton is evil and ****s up my pc and games!

The spikes are usually related to

a) a new version of the product, or
b) a new virus outbreak

But it’s true avast’s popularity is growing fast. It is now in use by over 35 million users worldwide. And we think we will reach the 50 million milestone pretty soon, too

Cheers
