Today, I have started getting Avast popup warnings for Malicious URL BLOCKED. I have read several posts about this problem, so I have downloaded the scanning programs and created the log files. Attached are my log files for MBAM, OTL, aswMBR and Adwcleaner. I appreciate your help!
I too have been getting malfunction
URL: http://urlfilter.vmn.net/vmnsbf/data/121…
Process: C:\ProgramData\Anti-phishing Domain Advi…
Infection: JS:ScriptSH-inf [Trj]
I did a full scan and cleared it ‘safely’ to the Virus Chest.
Now its coming in even more???
Is this your same virus
@paulus101
your problem is that you have visicom antiphishing toolbar installed
it is powered by Panda wich dont encrypt its signatures…and that is whats detected
Process: C:\ProgramData\[b]Anti-phishing Domain Advisor[/b]....
remove the toolbar and problem is gone
you may run AdwCleaner as it seems to remove it. http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

I downloaded and ran TDSSKiller. Attached is the report. I have not seen the Avast pop-up warning in the last 10 minutes, since the scan and reboot. Please advise if the report shows that I need to do anymore steps to clear up the problem.
Thank you.
essexboy is in bed now, but will be back tomorrow…
Re-run TDSSKiller with the same parameters as before
Once this element appears select delete :
\Device\Harddisk0\DR0 ( TDSS File System )
Avast will alert as the files are being moved.
Once done could you let me know what problems remain
I re-ran TDSSKiller and deleted \Device\Harddisk0\DR0. Attached is the report from the re-run. The Avast popup for Malicious URL Blocked has stopped. I am not aware of any remaining problems, unless the report shows other issues.
I appreciate your help. Thank you very much.
If all is well tomorrow let me know and I will remove my tools ;D
The computer is working well; no Avast pop-ups. Thank you.
Subject to no further problems
I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems
Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean
A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:
Run AdwCleaner and press uninstall
Run OTL
[*]Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following
:Commands [resethosts] [emptytemp] [Reboot]
[*]Then click the Run Fix button at the top
[*]Let the program run unhindered, reboot the PC when it is done
Run OTL and hit the cleanup button. It will remove all the programmes we have used plus itself.
We will now confirm that your hidden files are set to that, as some of the tools I use will change that
[*]Click Start.
[*]Open My Computer.
[*]Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
[*]Select the View Tab.
[*]Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Do not show hidden files and folders.
[]Click Yes to confirm.
[]Click OK.
