Remove Avast!,

Cutsom install it and remove the Home Security option, does it work then?

Unless you’re fond of spam, take down the email…

Hi Michael,
I tried to custom install and remove the Home Security option but even then I’m facing the same problem. Let me know if there are any other options to make it workable.

Can you try updating the firmware of your router?

We had another user come by with a similar issue as you and removing Avast! Home Security and updating seemed to do the trick.

Hi Michael,
Firware is already updated and not only firmware even data card I’m able to connect, I have to disable the antivirus to connect internet. Not sure what has to be done, trying to google and find out as well so far I don’t find any solutions for this.

Go into firewall settings and ensure you are set to private, then click settings at the bottom and on the next page set the dropdown to ask
Then place a tick in internet connection sharing mode
OK out and try again

Essex! You stole my answer!

Hi Essexboy,

Your advice helped me to connect data card without any trouble and while connecting through wifi router it is connected without any exclamation mark but it is not connected through the internet. I have captured all screenshots of my Avast Premier 2015 for your reference. Let me know where I have done the mistake.

When you try to access the router, what error do you get ?

Try the following

In the policies section place a tick in "allow all connections with friends when in private mode "

Hi Essexboy,
I have even tried that option too, its not working please check the attached screenshot.

What error do you get when you try to go online ?

Unidentified Network
No Internet access in the network icon which is in system tray, you can see that in the screenshot attached in the earlier post marked in red box.

Hi Essexboy,
After restarting the laptop its working fine now, thanks a bunch.

Ah so it needed a restart after the last tick Weird…

I tried all options its all in vein, now I have uninstalled the following.
Firewall
Secure DNS VPN
Network Place
I’m unable to use the options for which I have paid and as well I’m not getting a proper service for the same. I don’t think next time I’m going to renew this software such a worst service for Indian users.

I have been facing problems due to all above and nobody to solve this issue which is included with the Avast Premier application.

Strange, your reply here said everything is working fine after the reboot:

I have been following up with the avast support team, I raised a query and I was awaiting for it also when I said it was working fine but it worked only temporarily.

I’ve alerted Essexboy.

Hi support determined the secure line was not playing well with your data card … Did you uninstall secure line and still experience the same problem ?
