Avast Premier conflict with Iolo System Mechanic Professional

Old computer (Windows 7) crashed and I bought a new one with Windows 10. I reloaded systems mechanic professional (no problem) I loaded Avast free (while looking for my account with Avast) and had no conflict. I then un-installed Avast free and installed Avast Premier (after I found my key). I then had a conflict (frozen computer) after about an hour. Uninstalled Avast Premier and problem went away. Changed some settings on SMP and reinstalled AP…problem re-occurred.
Called Avast twice and they tried tweeking my computer (no luck) and then tried to sell me some $100+ service.
That aside, has anyone had a conflict with SMP & AP running on Windows 10?

SMP contains an anti-virus module so unless the AV can be removed from Iolo :-\ then it shouldn’t be used on any system with an Anti-virus program installed.
