Avast Premier Firewall stops LAN from connecting

The firewall in Avast Premier stops my LAN connection from being able to be used.
It initially sets it as a public connection and blocks the negotiation (DHCP) from taking place.

I keep having to disable the firewall and then disabling the LAN adapter, then enable the LAN adapter (or use IPCONFIG /RENEW) and re-enable the firewall.
This then correctly detects it as a private connection.

Set the Avast Firewall to private mode and reboot.

I have tried that, but it blocks before it can identify the connection and automatically sets it to public while the connection is unidentified.

No other security software installed, now or before installing Avast Premier.
