Hey folks,
Win 10 Insider Preview Build 17083.re_prerelease.180119-1645 - Avast Premier Firewall will not turn on.
When I attempt to, following dis displayed on-screen:
“Your organization used Windows Defender Application Control to block this app; C:Program Files (x86)\AVG\Antivirus\VisthAux.exe.”
Already tried reinstalling, and setting Windows Defender exclusion on this file, to no avail.
Appreciate an update!

Don’t Think Avast Compatible with Insider Preview as yet, as Fast Ring/Slow Ring Insider Builds going thru changes still
Same thing with Avast Internet Security firewall shield. It’s not working on 17074 build neither. But on 17025 it does.

Yes, I concur that with 17025, I had no issues.
Unfortunately I went from 17025 to 17083 directly, so I am unsure of the intermediate builds.

Avast isn’t compatible with insider preview builds.
If you’re on a preview build you’ll need to depend on Defender.

I can see that the Windows Defender firewall is enabled, so I am choosing to ignore Avast’s… for the time being. Just a matter of “ignoring” it.
Tanks guys… just thought I was missing something.

just for anyone else that had this issue i actually found the solution here, defender decided to turn itself back on, so the answer is to turn it off (completely) again since you don’t actually need defender at all if you’re running AVAST.
here is a link to the article that helped me, figure it out.
