Avast Premier for Microsoft Surface 2?

Hello Avast Help Team,

I’ve recently bought a one year subscription of Avast Premier and Grime Frighter for three of my computers. It wasn’t cheap, but I believe it’s a good product. It works well for my ASUS laptop with Windows Vista (although my laptop isn’t any faster after using Grimefighter, in fact slower, I’m at least content with the security.)

BAD NEWS: I have problems with two of my other computers.

  1. Avast Primier won’t install on my Microsoft Surface 2! I am trying to use my Licence key, but during the download there is just a message saying that “This App cannot be used on this PC, go to the Windows Online Store to find a suitable app”. So then I paid 2 Euros for the only Avast App on the online store, and it’s just advertising that I could have read for free! What do I need to do in order to get Avast Premier on my Microsoft Surface 2?

  2. I installed Avast premier on my desktop, and it works well, bur Grimefighter doesn’t. I think it has to do with Wireless. My router is in the basement, and in order to get a wireless connection, I bought an extra USB receiver for my desktop (which is on the other side of the house and therefore an Ethernet connection won’t work.) Whenever Grimefighter puts my computer to sleep and tries to work, it says it has no internet connection. It seems to disable the Wireless connection and can’t turn it on again. This should be because it works well with my laptop. Please help!

You bought avast for pc’s.
The Surface 2 is running on the ARM architecture (Windows RT) and that is not in the supported OS list.
