After Windows10 updated our Windows 7 laptop, Avast requires a password to - update virus list, run scans, even do about to try and get version. I go and log in to website and it will not recognize my account password (HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER SINCE 2014), I click the link to reset password and NEVER get the email. I finally called customer support and they tell me first contact my internet provider (BS), then told me to just create a new account (that does not transfer license). I did up the Subscription email from last year, try to go to manage my subscription, it finds it but will NOT let me turn off auto-renewal - the website says it can not process at this time. I have been trying for over a week, this sounds like a scam that I can not access my account, cannot turn off auto-renewal, and customer support is of no help.
Article AVKB217 → that is what I am complaining about, my.avast.comand click reset password never sends an email to my account and I have checked SPAM and JUNK, I have typed in a bogus email and get the not found message. So if I can not reset and re-enter my account on-line, I can’t download the software to re-install
AVKB126 - with digital river, I have been following that directions and every time I click the yes I really want to disable (Figure 5) I get an error message that the Server can not process the request. I have tried with Chrome, Edge, IE11.
You don’t need a account to download the software.
Links to the av’s are right here on this webboard.
For the paid versions you will need to have your license file though.
