I’ve recently installed the latest version of Avast Premier (17.3.221 - Build 17.3.3443.0) on my Windows 10 64bit system
and since my network/internet connection disconnects periodically.
I’m gone through the network settings in the firewall and disable the automatic profile switching and changed all my connection to private and it still disconnects it, forcing me to reconnect and disconnect my network adaptor.
Port scan seems to have fixed it for me. Thank you it was getting beyond frustrating. I thought my wife was going to throw her new laptop in to the pool on more than one occasion.
On a side note, I’ve found that if I turn off automatic profile switching and turn on the show notifications it seems to switch profiles anyway. When I initially connected to my 5ghz wifi it created a profile with the correct Router MAC. When I switched to 2.4ghz on the same router it simply created a profile called Wireless adaptor with no MAC address and is set as Public not Private. As I switch between these I get a notification saying that automatic switching is occurring.
