Well that would be a hard one, given you would have to purchase to see if their feedback lives up to reality. But in all honesty authorised avast resellers (as Asyn mentions) would be able to offer a deal, but it wouldn’t be massively lower than the price from avast.
Whilst authorised avast resellers may get a discount on their licenses and they would have to charge a little on top for them to earn anything. So seeing an avast license for way under the cost from avast (to me) would look too good to be true.
I would go as far to say avoid eBay and heed the “if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is.”
Avast has authorised resellers and whilst they could sell using eBay, any discount they get from avast (and still make it worth their while) wouldn’t mean ridiculous prices.
Another point any license over three years is 100% dodgy as avast don’t issue licenses for longer than three years.
hum…
don’t know what you mean by “wouldn’t be massively lower”
but my 3pc/2years AIS license is 3 x more expensive via avast than by my authorised avast reseller .
For the same price , by avast I have only 1pc/1year.
You got a good deal from your reseller (probably a high volume reseller) and they will have made a profit too. Anything much lower than that would be also massively lower the reseller effectively wouldn’t be making anything out of the deal.
Would you think that something that you found on ebay that was even lower than the deal you got from an ‘authorised avast reseller’ would be legit. The old ‘too good to be true’ and you wouldn’t have the peace of mind of having got it from an ‘authorised avast reseller.’
I never speak about ebay in my post . Does not make me say what I did not say
I’m right with you on this point.
Just about my 10 years old authorised dealer , 10 years old same good deal .
Maybe also that the prices displayed on the avast shop are inflated and can be negotiated?
In any case, I could not afford to pay for this avast price, even for security reasons
Just as I would not have accepted an ebay offer, for obvious reasons of suspicious fake deal.
