Avast Premier : No Firewall

As my subscription was due for renewal I decided to upgrade to Avast Premier.

On installation a box appeared which said the driver for the Avast Firewall couldn’t be found and installation would continue without installing the firewall.

Avast is now installed but I can’t see any mention of a firewall,there are no warnings or anything to say things are amiss.

I upgraded from AIS and got this and have tried repairing and a clean install and it is just the same.

System is Windows 7,SP1 64-bit.

How do I get my firewall back,or is it there ??

uninstall using Avast tool;and redo install

Tried using Avast uninstall before a clean install again ( Used CCleaner as well ) exactly the same,no firewall installed.

Imported settings from AIS and “Firewall” is greyed out so I presume it hasn’t installed in Premier.

Strangely though there are are no warnings or flags to say that there isn’t a firewall,Avast says all is secured.

Any answers please ??

Managed to sort this.

Went into Device Manager and Network Adaptors.

There was a yellow triangle against NDS ( I think ) Avast Miniport Adaptor.

I uninstalled this,ran Premier set up again over the top of the original installation,rebooted and the firewall all worked.
