I use LogMeIn to remotely control my home PC from work.

Will I be able to do the same with Avast Premier? My work PC is locked down and is in guest mode so I am not able to install anything on my work PC.

It will certainly be worth the upgrade cost to Avast Premier if it will allow remote control from my work PC.

Thank you.

Ask the admin at your work. He is the only one who can tell you.

Let me try to explain more clearly. Avast premier allows one to access the computer on which Avast Premier is installed, from a remote location. I have been an Avast user for several years. I am thinking to upgrade to Avast Premier. But I have a question that perhaps a person who actually works for Avast can best answer.

I wish to access my home computer from a remote location. It has nothing to do with my IT administrator, other than I will not be able to install a program on my work PC. Currently LogMeIn allows me to remotely access my home PC from my work PC even though that PC is locked down in guest mode. It allows me to not only access the files, but to also remotely control my home PC.

My Question is: With Avast Premier will I be able to remotely control my home PC?

Install avast in trail mode and try it

I’ll just call and ask. for some reason i thought this might be forum where people who actually knew would be the ones who responded.

And the answer is NO.

It has nothing to do with my IT administrator
It has everything to do with him. He is the one that allow/denies you things on the work system. Your question has nothing to do with avast but with what the admin allows/disallows you to do.

Pondus and I have responded. And we sure know what we are talking about. No offense, but it is your lack of knowledge that prevents you from understanding how things are working.

I don’t use that version of avast.
From my understanding, if it were set it up while you have access to the to 2 computers involved,
It should work as long as there isn’t a power failure at the site of the computer to be monitored remotely.
