I use Windows Live Mail through Comcast. When I activated Avast Premier service, emails delivery to the inbox is severely delayed (by weeks) and sends get held up or don’t go through. I am wondering if there is an Avast setting that needs to be adjusted. Error messages typically start with 0x800CCC–. Double checked Comcast settings for Live Mail. Looking for ideas if anyone out there has seen similar behavior.

have you tried avast repair?
controlpanel > ad/remove programs > avast > uninstall/change > repair option …wait a minute and reboot
any change?
