Avast Premiere is corrupting files, Youtube is not working, images broke

Hi.

I have Avast Premiere Installed since a lot of time, but this week something went wrong.

A lot of problems with the Internet connection, like corrupted downloaded files, broken images everywhere, Youtube videos not runnig.

Avast is as is… meaning i just installed and never move the settings.

I have checked the RAM, uninstalled all browsers (all browsers act the same), cleaned cache, cookies, registry, everything… Until a moment ago y disabled the shields on avast premiere and everything works fine.

Never move the settings and from a day to another it stop working properly.

Please Help! do i need a patch for Avast?

What os/sp?
What exact version of avast?
Do (or did) you have other security software installed?
If so which one(s) and how did you remove them (if you did)?
Already tried a repair of avast?
If not, do so.

Ok, i have repaired avast and still the same problems

I repaired, tried to install Firefox with no success, the i disable the shields and installed without problems.

sorry to hear the repair didn’t solved it.
But no worries, it was just a thirst thing to try.
There are more things we can try :wink:

is Windows Defender disabled?
If yes, did you disable it before or after you installed avast?

Defender is disabled, don’t remember but i think i disable it when Avast was installed. :s

Just checked that win firewall was enabled and avast firewall too. let me check if disabling win firewall repairs the problems.

Nope… Just tried to download a program but says is corrupted

Just made a system restore, avast was in version …2018 and working fine, just minutes later upgraded to …2021 and problems again… :frowning: can i change to 2018?? or how make 2021 work without problems?

Try a clean install…

Download and save Avast Uninstaller
Download and save RejZor’s Cleanup Tool (scroll down to the download)
Download and save your choice…
Avast Free
Avast Pro
Avast Internet Security
Avast Premier

Run the avast uninstaller from above. You will be prompted to reboot into safe mode…click “yes”.
Reboot
Run RejZor’s cleanup tool from above in normal mode.
Reboot
Install avast choice from above.
Reboot and either register or insert license.

I made the recommendations above and it looks like everything is fine… Will be making tests to check that all the problems are gone.
