I have just installed Premium Cleanup on my Windows 10 laptop. I ran thenprogram and it identified several registry errors which could cause the laptop to run slowly. I allowed the program to fix everything, which it did successfully.
However, shortly after, I was unable to open any of the MS Office programs (Outlook & Word), so I restarted the laptop. After entering my password, the screen went blank and hung. After an hour I forced a shutdown and restarted and the screen went into a Recovery page saying Windows did not shut down correctly. I have done the obvious recover options and also starting from a Recovery point, but it has not fixed the problem, when I allow it to try opening Windows 10.
Can anyone advise what I can do to solve this please. thanks
Thanks Bryl- sadly none of the Windows repair utilities will run and the laptop will no longer boot in any mode. We managed to run an operating system off a external drive and backup all the documents etc. Windows 10 was totally corrupted, so in the end we reformatted the whole drive and reinstalled Windows from scratch. Lost all the Apps and personalisation which is a pain but no other way to solve. Thanks for your help.

If you did this on a regular basis, restoring everything would have been relatively easy with a minimal amount of loss:
