Avast premium security

I have this problem when use my PC (Win10) after the login, Avast start with the alerts - Allow “many programs” to access the internet?
e.g. Allow OfficeClickToRun.exe to access the internet?
It’s trying to connect to 52.109.76.240 on TCP port 443 (HTTPS)

Also if I press the button ALLOW, next time starting up the PC I’ll receive the same alerts as a never ending story.

Is it possible to solve this issue?

Many thanks
Mario

First of all, on your PC you use One Drive, probably on your wife’s and son’s PCs they don’t use One Drive.

The FileCoAuth.exe is an executable developed by Microsoft for Windows 7, 8 and 10. It is located in C: \ Users \ YourUser \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ OneDrive \ 17.3. 6944.0627 \ FileCoAuth.exe.

The file is digitally signed by Microsoft and is functional to OneDrive. Avast is asking if permission to connect to that IP address.

You could try to do a full scan of the PC, then a scan at startup with the Avast function.

You can also try to do a second opinion scan with portable antimalware that can be run from a USB stick such as:
Norton Power Erase: https://support.norton.com/sp/it/it/home/current/solutions/kb20100824120155EN
Sophos Scan & Clean: https://www.sophos.com/it-it/free-tools/virus-removal-tool

P.S. I am italian.

My account is “Avast Premium Security” 24.9.6130 (build 24.9.9452.875) virus definition 240919-2. Installed on thic PC (wife one), on my own PC, than Son’s PC.
Only with this one I heve these boring request, get one mintime, attached (sorry for the Italian language).

And every time I click on => Allow, always, All connections in/out, but next time Switching ON the PC I get again the same request. Not only for the program in the example, also for GoogleDriveFS.exe, MicrosoftSharePoint.exe, setup.exe NVIDIA Corporatin and so on.
Many thanks for the help.

@Mario466. Which Avast product are you using?
and are you using Avast Firewall?

Not knowing what the alerts are makes it very difficult to suggest anything.

A screenshot of the Avast alert with the Details option enabled could help. - Attaching Images to your post - When you Click the Reply button it opens a text window for you to post your comment (reply or post).
Click the Preview button, that shows what you have input and expands it to include ‘Attachments and other options’. Click that it further expands, here you can attach images, etc. at the bottom of your post.
See my attached image, click to expand.

Hi @mario466!

Did you solve it?

Hi Mario,

I’m very sorry you are having issues with Avast Firewall.

Can you please check if you see an application in the application list when you allow the connection from the ask dialogue? Please open Avast UI > Protection > Firewall > Gear icon > View firewall rules > Application rules. If yes is it still present when you power on the PC (before allowing the connection from the ask dialogue)?

Thanks in advance,
HK

Ciao e grazie
