Avast Premium

My Avast Premium AV expires on 7 May, I have 3 devices with 2 year length price £74.99. I can obtain the same Avast AV from Computer-active for £44.99. My question is, should I uninstall my present program or download the new program over the top.

As the money goes to another company, I would deactivate the active version.
And why don’t you use the free Avast version?

Many thanks for your reply stibi.
I don’t think the free version has all the same facilities Bank mode etc. When I originally used the free version many years ago it was always nagging me to upgrade.

Note: In order to get use of Bank Mode all one needs is Avast and Avast Secure Browser. Both can be/are free, no cost to you.

Thank you so much for your reply, I do have and use Avast safe browser, didn’t know it was free, thought it came with the paid version.
Grateful to both you Mchain and stibi.

Thanks to all three of you, You were not wasting your time the links you gave me had information I was not aware of and will be of use to me.
The Avast product I mentioned in my first post was for Avast Internet not premium, should have looked more carefully. So I shall be renewing my existing Avast AV. Once again very mant thanks to all three of you.
Ron.

Avast browser was, at one time, included only as a paid feature included in their suite as Bank Mode. Browser at that time was Avast SafeZone Browser, which was based on Opera Chromium fork. So the only way Bank Mode was available at that time was in use a paid suite. Avast SafeZone Browser was made obsolete by Avast and Avast Secure Browser is the current replacement.

You’ll note that the latest version of Avast (April 2019) released today has Avast removing all instances of ASZB as ASZB is not safe to use and is not supported anymore.

So your memory is correct.

Glad to help.

Thanks for that mchain, thought I was having another senior moment

Nope.
