Avast preventing Firefox from starting when using Sandboxie

Hi, I recently upgraded to the 2014 version of !avast and it seems to be preventing Firefox from starting when sanboxed with Sandboxie. Internet Explorer still starts normally when sandboxed, but Firefox no longer does. Firefox is allowed to start normall outside of the sandbox, but using it with the sandbox prevents it from starting. This didn’t happen prior to the installation of the latest version of !avast.

I’ve added every process used by Sandboxie to every exclusion within !avast, yet Firefox still won’t start when sandboxed. I get the message “The application failed to initialize properly.” When I uninstall !avast, I’m able to once again start Firefox using sandboxie.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I’m using sandboxie and avast 2014 free edition on win xp with no problems whatsoever.
You don’t mention if you’re using the avast pro version or the free one.

This is from sandboxie’s website though it doesn’t specify which version of avast .

Hi, I actually saw that, and made the changes Sandboxie recommended, but it doesn’t seem to work for me. I’m using the free version of !avast and version 4.06 of Sandboxie. I’ve also tried version 3.58 of Sandboxie since that mentions version 4 of Sandboxie as being slightly incompatible, but version 3.58 fails to start as well.
