Avast preventing restart when restart after update

Today there is an update on my avast and avast require me to restart the computer in order to install the update, and then i click restart now on avast application then windows starting to restart but “this apps is preventing shutdown” screen appear and its said avast preventing shutdown and i click shutdown anyway and computer begin to restart and turn on again, avast application running just fine. But i am curious is it fine when i click shutdown anyway ? I am afraid when i clicking shutdown anyway i am force closing avast while they installing the update and made my avast broken/corrupted. What do you guys think ?

Yep, nothing to worry about.

Glad to hear that. And when does avast installing the update? Is avast installing the update when you click restart now or after you restart your computer ?

When you get asked it’s already updated but some changes need a reboot.

I see. So they apply the changes when my computer turn on after restart. Correct?

Some of them, yes.

So this is mean i am not interrupting anything when i click shutdown anyway. Right?

Yep.

I personally wait and allow Windows to close the program and restart on it’s own.
