Hello, this is my first posting. Please bear with me if I am doing it incorrectly. I have been having a problem with my newly purchased Avast 5 Pro going from “secured” to “unsecured” for no apparent reason. I have been trying to get some satisfaction from Avast and Element 5, but I get nothing.
This is my most recent post to them:

Dear Avast,
If you read my last ticket submission, you will understand that I have been having major problems with trying to get some satisfaction and even a response from you. After all the hassle I’ve gone through involving trying to get a workable Avast Pro 5 on my computer, I decided to uninstall what was on my computer, and repurchase Avast Pro 5. I did this yesterday 3/20. Everything was working fine. I bought two years for the price of one. The license was inserted as it should be. Now the problem: when I boot up, all is well; however, after a while, the deadly red X shows up and informs me that my antivirus is unsecured.
Will somebody please contact me and tell me what is going on. Do you have a tech support phone number I can call to talk to someone in person? This madness has been going on for nearly a month.

Perhaps someone on this forum can assist me. Thanks much.
I am in the same boat. It was working fine for about two months then the X came. I clicked the fix now but nothing. Have been mailing tickets all day and also nothing, I am getting a tad bit annoyed. Any help would be great. I can not even really figure out how to post a new topic on this forum
I had the paid for version of avast5pro, I tried the repair as the forum stated, but it would not work, I ended up installing avast and installing the free version. It has been several days now and I have submitted four tickets to the service tech, they have yet to reply and I feel I am being slighted. I can not believe that a security program that cost me over fifty dollars has no toll free number or real time chat, non the less it appears a tech team that shirks their duties off too the public forum. I feel they owe me my payment back in full, but seeing how there is no known way of communicating with them that is probably not going to happen. I should have went with a more well known program that has real people employed. I think this is a rip off and would tell any one thinking that purchasing this comes with anything better than the free version not to bother. their money is not safe nor is their computers.
Having major problems trying to install avast on our other computer. Free version was working fine but when I try and install the paid upgrade the antivirus just doesn’t work!!! VERY FRUSTRATING… any pearls of wisdom welcome!
