Avast pro 8.0.1483 with Virus Defination 50.65.597 raising lot of false alarms

Hi.

This is Abhay Bhave. I own a small institute, and have been using avast free version for last 5-6 years very happily. Recently one of my students mistakenly clicked on “Upgrade” and it went to PRO, which I have not registered, and hence updates are unavailable.

One of the courses in my institute is “C Programming”.

When I teach very basic programs in C, many a programs (Even the one calculating max of 3 numbers) as false positive. I have checked every program that is reported positive, and is not doing any potentially dangerous or even technically non-recommended operations. Basically all are 10-15 line educational programs.

Can anybody guide me about the issue?

Thanks and regards,

Abhay Bhave
