i got avast pro edition…
when i play on game call of duty 4 so after 5 min my game start change color and after that computer stuck…
when i delete avast so game works perfectly…
what should i do?
(i dont have anything work!only avast and the game are work!)

Not sure if the issue your facing is related to this, but did you have any other type of anti-virus program or malware program on your system before installing Avast? If so, which one(s) and how did you go about removing them?
In “Program Settings…” → “Troubleshooting”, try checking “Disable rootkit scan on system startup”, and see if it makes any difference.
The rootkit scan takes place after 8 minutesby default .

i play and after 5 minutes the game stuck and after 2 second its back with Different color…
when i quit game so computer not respording…
now i with Avira Antivir and game work…
For sure not… the game should work with avast.
Are you using both at the same time? Are both installed in the computer at the same time?

i delete avast and use free avira beacuse that bug…
i think my computer hot but when i delete avast game work over 200 minutes with no change color and stuck computer…

Uninstall I suppose…
Download the latest version of Avast Uninstall and use it for complete uninstallation. Boot.
It’s not safe… you’ll lower security… You need to use the Exclusion lists:
For the Standard Shield provider (on-access scanning):
Left click the ‘a’ blue icon, click on the provider icon at left and then Customize.
Go to Advanced tab and click on Add button…
For the other providers (on-demand scanning such as the screen-saver or the Simple User Interface):
Right click the ‘a’ blue icon, click Program Settings.
Go to Exclusions tab and click on Add button…
You can use wildcards like * and ?.
But be careful, you should ‘exclude’ that many files that let your system in even more danger.

Any1 what? Your problems seems more like hardware problems than avast-related to me.
Two of my friends play CoD4 with avast! and they have no problems.
And I play many other games with avast! without problems.
Have you checked some CoD4 forums, and if anyone had the same problems with avast?
why hardware problem?
