AVAST PRO and KErio Mail Server

I run AVAST Pro on a Windows XP machine which runs Kerio Mail Server. The Avast for Kerio Mailserver plugin is also installed within Kerio itself. The software protects the mailserver and email very well, but has an infuriating problem in that when a suspicious attachment to an email is found, it stops delivering email to the users (the queues are POP3 not SMTP). I had advice to set a setting on the realtime scanner for the standard shield, on the advanced tab to accept the default setting for any message displayed. I understood this to mean that if a dialog pops up stating there is a suspicious message, the default operation (ie the default button on the dialog) would automatically occur; in this case to delete the email. However it does not seem to work, if we get a suspicious email the server stops delivering any email until the message is physically attended to.

The messages today were concerning suspicious file extensions, .exe.

Not good for an email server that should require unattended operation. Anyone any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Thanks

I’m not sure because I don’t use this avast version, but, maybe, the message comes from the Heuristic mail scanner options. Can you check?
