Good day. When I run the fully updated (virus and engine 170114-0 and program 12.3.2280(build 12.3.3154.23) Smart Scan the report indicates that I have network threats and “Performance Issues”, but when I press the “Resolve All” button, I get an empty screen labeled “Step 1/1: Network Threats” with a “Next” button on the bottom. Pressing Next takes me back to the Smart Scan page saying I still have some issues with a “Rescan” option. If I try the standalone scan of the network, I get a blank page, and if I try the standalone performance scan it tells me it’s found problems and a little cop caricature but nothing to click on to clean anything up. Please advise.
Repair Avast:
- Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
- Click on ‘Repair’.
- Follow instructions.
- Reboot.
CleanUp will only work if you have a subscription for it.
INCORRECT NOW → Ran the repair; now Avast will not connect. Every time I try to connect I get a prompt to upgrade to Avast Secureline, but no connection. Advice?
My error; after repair, Avast is now connected; the lightbulb showing the X that I was clicking on to see what was up with Avast must be only for Secureline. Home Network Security scan is now working correctly. Thank you, Asyn.
