Avast Pro Behaviour Shield is blocking app

I have an issue with a specific application. When I start the application I get the following error:
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000000d). Click OK to close the application.

Windows Error logs show nothing related to Avast, neither do I get an avast notification when starting the application, nor is there anything marked as a threat. I noticed the Behaviour shield is blocking the application because by turning this off the application is starting without problems. I tried changing the settings for the Behaviour Shield to “Always Ask”, but the application simply shows an error message again when I try to start it. Also I have added the application folder to the exclusions and the windows firewall exclusions, but the error keeps occurring. Meaning my only solution at the moment is to stop the Behaviour Shield which I actually don’t want to do.

Anyone knows a permanent solution?
