Avast pro missing fonts

Hi,

I have avast pro. When I updated to pro this started happening. My avast is losing all fonts all the time. I have tried to uninstall and re install. When I uninstalled avast I started to get annoying popups from avast. I think I have to reinstall windows and never install avast again…

Repair Avast:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

I have tried that. No help. I have also uninstalled avast with uninstaller and re installed. No help.

And what is whit that popup from avast when I uninstalled it. I could not get it stop. Only change is format computer and reinstall windows.

It is just avast pro antivirus. I bought it from avast.

windows7 32bit, updated to windows 10.

Theres no other security software installed.

I have always had avast in this computer.

I think the problem started after I updated my computer to windows 10. And same time I bought avast pro.

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of your prior installed AV(s)…!!

Then:

  1. Download Avast Pro Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_pro_antivirus_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

Okay, same thing started to happening to my other laptop. Im going to format and reinstall windows to both. Im not going to install avast anymore. Thanks.

Both got windows 10, so there is the problem. When Im trying to check my avast I cant do anything because all fonts are missing. Rebooting laptop gets them back, but after a while they are gone again until reboot.

I have scanned my computers with malwarebytes antimalware, adwcleaner, junkwareremovaltool, eset online scanner. And theres no any viruses. So the problem is avast.

You still haven’t told us the exact avast version.

I dont know, its the newest version of avast pro.

Other problem with avast is that it using almost all time 100% disk on my other laptop. Im so tired with avast not working on my computers. I still have 300days pro member, but Im not coming back to avast anymore.

It is real easy to find the version.
Right click the avast icon near the clock and choose “about”.

Do the fonts also disappear if you use a other language than Finnish ?

Is your Windows version Finnish or another language ?
