:-[ So i tried for hours yesterday to get avast 9.0.2006 to work. My action center said it was on but there is no icon and i can not manually open the program. So i went and did a repair. After the repair it said that Avast was out of date in my action center, BUT STILL i could not update or open the program.
I then went and ran the removal tool in safe mode since i could not uninstall Avast and i found the program in the C: Program Data folder. After that i THOUGHT i had it working and posted the fix. After a restart and a few hours of sleep i am right back to square one. >:(
It says that Avast is on but i can not open the program Im using windows 7 64bit. I also noticed something in the action center saying Windows Defender and Avast are running at the same time and running to can cause your system to run slow… which is new
The bad thing is i have been using the free version for a few years now with NO issues. I went and paid for pro and i keep having trouble with it. :-\
Im starting to think i should have just kept the free version and said the heck with it.
