Avast Pro prevents Windows XP normal user logon

There is a problem with Avast Pro (versions since 2223 to 2225) on Windows XP. Installing and enabling Avast prevents user to logon: after entering password, computer stops normal user logon (just empty default Windows XP wallpaper), no shell is loaded. Pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL, invoking Task Manager, launching explorer.exe manually return back desktop, except the user desktop looks like default (all user settings - icons, themes, wallpapers, look&feel drops to default). Details below:

Computer: the old IBM ThinkPad x60 (machine type:1706-85U) carefully reinstalled from scratch to Windows XP Pro Russian (x32, SP3 + all fixes). The minimal set of software. There is unfinished fresh install, the system is quite clean (no viruses!).

Avast Pro v2218 was OK! Once it was autoupdated to v2223 the notebook has gone crazy.

Disabling/uninstalling Avast and reboot helps: the normal logon without any issues to normal (non-default) desktop. Small fixes (on troubleshooting settings tab - “delayed load” and “guest control” of Avast) doen’t help. Uninstall (avastclear) - reboot - install (minimum components)-reboot doesn’t help: I’ve got the same!

I’ve just found this entry in windows log (system) when avast prevents normal logon:
Тип события: Ошибка
Источник события: DCOM
Категория события: Отсутствует
Код события: 10010
Дата: 26.08.2015
Время: 13:41:16
Пользователь: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Компьютер: X60
Описание: Регистрация сервера {000C101C-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} DCOM не прошла за отведенное время ожидания.

This is error 10010 from DCOM stating that
The server {000C101C-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

Suppose because of this error shell couldn’t start normally.

Please help. I’ve seen the same behavior on some old computer with older version of Avast. Thank you!
Suppose, something was broken since v2218:
