Why am I being prompted to update Avast Pro when I paid for 1 year in Feb 2010
Did you register the software with the license file you got when you bought the software?

What does about avast say is the expiry date ?
If that appears to be correct, Feb 2011, check the system date, day/month/year and adjust as required.
I downloaded the avast pro and paid for it but I don’t believe I register the license. Where would I get the information to register? I never received an email witht the license to register. I need this today, my avast expires today please help me find my license
You should have got an email promptly after purchase. Does your ISP or you use an anti-spam filter as that is the most common reason for non-receipt ?
Contact sales (at) avast (dot) com and give them the following information:
Where you purchased your license.
The date of your purchase.
The email address that you used when you purchased the license.
