Avast, Probl. with Java ?

Hey guys,
I have a little problem for 2-3 days now,
My Avast registration expired so I re-installed it,
but the problem now is that I have some trouble with playin’ games on an internet site called “www.gamegarden.net” , At first sight there seems to be no problem, but when I click on one of the games, the thang doesnt open. I also installed Mozilla, but I don’t think it’s because of that ‘cos I have the same problem with IE. I hope someone can help me as soon as possible. Just the thought I can’t solve this is freakin’ me out…
Thx alot anyway… ;D

Well avast doesn’t block, but scans content and alerts you if infected, but it doesn’t block. So I’m at a loss as to what would be blocking the game,

I assume you are able to browse normally ?

What is your firewall ?
Is there anything in the firewall logs ?

You didn’t need to reinstall avast when your registration expires, just re-register and enter the new registration key sent by email.

Yep i’m perfectly able to browse in a normal way.
Right now my firewall is ZoneAlarm. But before this problem i had to close down my firewall in order to get access to the games…

The site tries to load an ActiveX control, so it won’t work in Firefox.

Seems this has been causing problems because there are instructions on the site for removing this object:

http://www.gamegarden.net/v2/gg.asp

Güvenlik Uygulamasi ile İlgili Sorun Yaşayan Arkadaşlarımızın Dikkatine!

KutluaY you could try following the instructions and then reinstalling the ActiveX control in IE if you really trust the site.

The instructions are in Turkish, but with the name KutluaY, is that going to be a problem, even if you are in Belgium?

You should never turn off your firewall when connected to the internet.
