Hello there. I am a long time user of Avast and for the first time I am experiencing technical difficulties. The computer I am currently working on is not my own and their antivirus has expired a long time ago. The platform that they are using is Windows 7 professional and the type of laptop is Fujitsu. I have uninstalled norton, microsoft security essentials, and all other antivirus platforms, I have also turned off windows firewall.
The problem I am facing is that Avast will not load. I get no response from the application itself. I have tried uninstalling (using windows safe mode and the software provided in the other help sections) it and re installing it several times. I have tried to use other antivirus programs to solve the problem (AVG… ect) with absolutely no effect. The only response that I am able to get at all is when I try to scan something and then the compute reads “Avast UI process is not currently running, please run the application and start again.”
PLEASE HELP!
