Hi , I’m an Avast Anti Virus user in Iran . about 2 years ago we was able to update anti virus database with Iran’s IPs but now we can’t do it. it is not justly . Please consider measures for support Iranian users .

avast is letting everyone update the vps as well as the application.
If yours is not working it can be a problem on your system or your isp/government is blocking things which is not likely.
What exact version of avast and vps do you have now?
Program version should be : 2014.9.0.2021
VPS version should be : 20140710-0
If you have older versions, download the latest application version first and install it.

After it is installed try to update the vps.
If it isn’t working you can always get the latest vps version from:

I’m using Avast anti virus v2014.9.0.2018 . when i’m trying to update virus data base or program I encountered : Host Unreachable error.
also we can’t open Avast.com home page or update page & etc.
i’m sure Avast web site & update service is not blocked by our ISP or government & it’s on your behalf.

there are many ways to to download avast products & updates but we want to update directly like Avast’s users in the worldwide .

Try a repair of avast.
Control panel > software > avast > add/remove > choose repair.
