Avast program removal

Everytime I try to remove the program (Avast anti-virus) a window pops up and says “error, A setiface has occurred:2”
I was wondering how I can fix this problem.

What were your actions? I mean, did you install and now you’re uninstalling avast?
Do you have any other antivirus in your computer? Did you have in the past? Which one(s)?

  1. Uninstall avast from Control Panel first.
  2. Boot
  3. Use Avast Uninstall for complete uninstallation (read http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_uninstall_util.html)
  4. Boot
