Avast! program update confused?

Hello,

I have Avast! Home v4.5 running on Windows XP SP2. I have configured the program update to run manually, and yesterday tried to update from v4.5.549 to v4.5.561. Because of a problem with my firewall set-up, I had to cancel the upgrade part-way through - after it had downloaded a new version of the setup program, I believe. However, when I now run the program update again, after correcting the firewall configuration, the update dialog reports that Avast! is up to date (v4.5.561) whereas if I use the About Avast! menu command, it still reports v4.5.549.

Although Avast! seems to be operating normally, I’d like to know how to resolve this mismatch. Is it likely to sort itself out when the next program update is available, or should I intervene (and if so, how)? Needless to say, I would like to avoid a complete removal and reinstallation if there is a simpler fix.
