Status Monitoring is not working right in Avast. I have all the ticks in the boxes, for the Program Version too but Avast doesn’t tell me when there’s a program update. It just says Everything is good. Why is that so? Is it only me or do you too have this problem? I’d like Avast to notify me when there’s a program update, I just found out by accident, chacking the Avast forum. Any ideas?

It is called the program update cycle, which is to spread the load on the update servers. This cycle duration can change, but currently it is about two to possibly three weeks.
So until it is your turn in the update cycle the version you have is the latest.
Currently, it’s little bit more because update to avast! 2014 is quite larger than anytime before. However, you are free to update manually if you wish to do so.
