Avast Quick Scan changed to "????"

Um dunno if this the right sort of place to post this but Quick Scan title has changed to " ? ? ? ? " is this meant to be like this ?

Repair Avast:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

  • Which version…?
  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?

Uh where do i even look for that info ?

Right click the Avast icon in the tray and choose “About Avast”.

um there nothing like “About Avast” there i know i pay for my avast

Is that info in the “About” place because i don’t see no info there about that, i know i pay for my avast

Try this: Open the GUI → Settings → About Avast

  1. Download Avast Internet Security: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.
