Occasionally (this has been happening a lot over the past few days) Avast will suddenly just… quit - more specifically all the shields will go down, and Avast will appear to think that I’m no longer registered (red text in the header saying Unregistered, 0 days remaining). I can click the Resolve All button, it will dim the screen after a pretty long wait, asking if I want to turn off the services, and I accept; then I click Resolve All again, and they will (usually) start back up. But then this will happen again not long after. This even happens at boot occasionally.
The most frustrating thing is that it breaks web browsing entirely, at least on Opera. Every single thing I try to do will result in a “Connection closed by remote server” error. What’s the deal here? Should I un+reinstall Avast?
