Avast registration key URL not working

Hi

To cut a long story short, my Vista PC was hit by a trojan last night and it’s gone into black screen of death upon reboot since trying to repair with GMER. All of which has meant I’ve had to create an instance of Ubuntu to get files off the machine. I’m also hoping that by running Avast Ubuntu it might detect and fix the trojan issue. But the URL doesn’t work - here’s the error:

404 Page not found … blah blah … Request-URl: i_kat_20.php.

Have tried locating elsewhere buy unsuccessful.

Any ideas?

PS the trojan is: Backdoor.Generic12.GOG.dropper

Hmm, my fault. I should have said the Avast download/install worked, but the link to grab the key didn’t - and it still doesn’t. Sorry.

No, it’s the registration for the Linux version, not the download link. It downloaded fine as well as a clean install, but I need a reg key to make it work. This is what he is talking about as I need a reg key for my Ubuntu ASAP to fix stuff.

Linux is obviously separate for Windows and therefore may need a different reg key. That’s the page that he’s talking about and yes, it needs a fixing.

HALP!

There’s the same key as for Windows version.
